Timely thoughts and reminder from Pam - 11th April 2023
An Easter Message
If you haven’t managed to watch the YouTube Service and listen to the sermon, sit back today and reflect on the Easter message.
Holy Week is a reminder of our faith, from Palm Sunday processions, the last supper enacted and the vivid reminder of the challenges Christianity faces in our modern world.
To believe that Jesus rose from the dead - that is the Easter faith.
Today in Britain such faith brings sneers of derision from eminent celebrities, mostly atheists and emerging polls suggest fewer British people actually believe the Easter message or Christian religion.
But in thousands of years no one can ever prove (or disprove) the existence of an afterlife or God or answer the concerns of doubters who blame God for every disaster.
Easter doesn’t answer logic, it confronts us with an historical event in time, where the followers of Jesus were brave enough to face the ‘persecution’ of the Roman Empire and proclaim their belief in the risen Christ.
Christianity transforms individual lives with hope and inner peace. This is a lived experience.
Some sincere thoughts and contemplation from Pam
St Chads reaches the grand age of seventy next year. Seventy years of serving the people of Leasowe. Perhaps you or members of your family were baptised, married, or had a connection with the church through its many groups, during that time.
Now is the time to reconnect and ask yourself why you wanted St Chads to be part of those celebrations. If you love the work of St Chads and want its presence to be a part of Leasowe for the future, don’t pension her off, her work isn’t finished.
The first thing is to pray, for without love, without the power of God, without taking time to think and pray we can do nothing.
We want to draw closer to God, praising him for all the good things he does for us. We want to continue to share the love of God with the community here in Leasowe.
The crisis in the cost of living and the effects of a pandemic has affected us all particularly in Leasowe and the church is no exception. But, the phrase use it or lose it has never been so relevant. “One moment it seemed to be there – and then it just wasn't any more. Something had gone”

The first meeting of the Chad's Women's Group took place this week on Wednesday 7th September. The meeting was hosted by Margaret Northam at her flat and although only three attended it is hoped, with prayer, that other like minded women will join them over the coming weeks. It is hoped that this will be therapeutic for all and the shared fellowship will lighten their hearts
VCT is – Village Churches Together, an 'alliance' between the following Churches in the Wallasey Village catchment area, and includes:-
Street Nativity
Following the success of last year’s event, the VCT is repeating the Street Nativity in the car park of St. Mary’s College, on Friday 16 December, at 5.00 pm. We need a small group of 2 representatives from each church to meet this month to plan the event, identify helpers and source equipment, and solve possible issues early. Meeting probably weekend 24-25th September 2022
